Will Smith comes clean about his picture perfect marriage to Jada Pinkett Smith in a new interview with The Sun. In his interview, Smith admits that counseling saved his marriage
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have done a great job at making their marriage seem picture perfect — but in a new interview Will says that’s far from the truth.
In a new interview with The Sun, Will admits the couple underwent counseling to save their 19-year union.

He said: “I’ve done a lot of marriage counseling.
“What happens in a marriage once you do counseling, the truth comes out.
“And you sit across from your wife and you’ve said all of your truth and she has said all of her truth. You look at each other and you can’t imagine you could ever possibly love each other again now the truth is out.
“It creates a dark moment. But for me it’s the dark before the dawn. When the truth comes out and people have to say who they are and what they think, you get to know who they are.
“I think that’s the cleansing before you get to the other side that is understanding and moving forward in our relationship.”
Actress Jada is “Suicide Squad” star Will’s second wife. They have been married for 19 years. They have two children Jaden, 18, and Willow, 15, who have both become film stars.
Will has a son, Trey, 23, by his first wife Sheree Zampino.
Both Will and Jada have acknowledged marriage problems in the past but neither have ever admitted going to counseling together. Rumors have circulated for years that the pair have an open marriage.
Jada appeared to address the claims last year when she said: “At the end of the day, I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher. I’m not his watcher. He’s a grown man.
“I trust that the man that Will is is a man of integrity. So, he’s got all the freedom in the world, and as long as Will can look himself in the mirror and be OK, I’m good.”
With so many men opposed to marriage counseling, it’s good to know that Will Smith was willing to put in the work to keep his marriage on track.
