Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovers. It is a day to show everyone in your life that you love them and you Little’s are no exception.
Kids always get excited when it comes time to fill out those little Valentine’s Day cards to give to all their classmates but they should be just as excited to see what Mom is going to surprise them with on Valentine’s Day. Here are a few ideas to create memories that will a lifetime and make Valentine’s Day fun for kids of any age.
Besides receiving chocolates or some special treat, why not add a coupon book that kids can redeem whenever they like? How cool would it be for kids to be able to redeem their coupons for stuff like, an extra hour of video games or computer time, a night off from chores, an extra cookie for dessert or to be able to download on app? These could even be tailored so that teens will enjoy them, as well. Visit Mom on Timeout to get instructions and download free printables.
Scavenger hunts are fun for kids of all ages but of course, the most important thing to remember is that the hunt has to be worth while. Some kids love candy, video games and music downloads are always good for older kids. Be creative and for some extra help, Creations by Kara has some great ideas and printables to make things quick and easy. Remember, it’s all about creating memories and not about breaking the bank. You can always find cute things to add to your prize at the end of the scavenger hunt at Target’s Dollar Spot.
The most important thing is to have fun, create memories and give your kids a little extra love on Valentine’s Day.
