Cars.com Is The Way To Go When Shopping For A New Car

Reviews / Uncategorized / August 24, 2017

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cars.com

I’ve been thinking about purchasing a new car for the last couple of months but I have done nothing more than think about it because the entire car buying process can be such a headache. As someone who purchases a new car every two to three years, I’ve always went to the dealership on a whim, never really doing much research, which has cost me lots of money in the end. Yes, I had a new car but I know for a fact that I haven’t always gotten the best deal or the best car with all the “extras” that I wanted. This time around I finally decided to do things a bit differently and save myself some time and a headache or two and use Cars.com to do my research.

Everything Is Right At Your Fingertips

Cars.com puts everything at your fingertips when it comes to researching and buying a car. Long gone are the days that you have to go from site to site doing research for a particular make and model of a car. With Cars.com, you can do all the research on one site and even look at the inventory of different car dealers in your area and all over the US.

cars.com

I have been dreaming of purchasing a 2018 Audi A5. I looked it up on Cars.com and was able to find varies models for sale. I was able to put in the price range, color, features, etc and in seconds, I had a series of cars to look at with all the details about the vehicle. I, also decided to look at some earlier models to see if I could find some good prices with low mileage and came across a few that I was interested in. I was pleased with the fact that you could view the Carfax,  to make an informative decision when choosing a car.

The Price Comparison Tool

My favorite thing about Cars.com and the feature that comes in handy for women is the Price Comparison Tool. So often, women don’t get the best deals and pay more at dealerships because we haven’t done our research and don’t know the ballpark price that the car should be. With the Price Comparison Tool, you can check the price that a dealership is offering and see if the price is either below, higher or in the middle price range for that particular make and model. This is particularly important when you go to the dealer, that you know what you’re talking about and can negotiate to get the car that you want, at the price that you want.

The Outcome

Cars.com not only has the largest database of consumer reviews in the industry but it also allows you to buy, sell and get service and repair advice on your vehicle, as well. After using Cars.com, to research the Audi A5, I decided that it wasn’t the car for me. I’ve decided to keep my Nissan Altima for a couple more years since it is a 2015, but I know for sure that I will be using Cars.com in 2 years to help me research and purchase a car for my son when he turns 16-years-old. By the way, did I mention that they even offer information for first time buyers, so why would I even use any other site? Cars.com is the way to go when you are the market for a new or used car. You won’t find another site that can help you at every turn of car ownership like Cars.com.

Are you in the market for a new car?

If so, what make and model are you interested in?

Specifications and price comparison are quite useful while buying a new car. Looks like a promising site. I will check the site and recommend to my friends. Thanks for sharing.

That is really cool! Very informative. Such a pity that we don’t have that in Europe

First off I would like an Audi too! There were a lot of good tips provided here. I haven’t bought a car but will be soon and will keep this information in mind.

    on August 25, 2017

Yes, I love Audi. Make sure that you use Cars.com to help you when you are ready to buy your new car.

We are car shopping right now. I’m not ready to do this again, but our search always begins online! Price comparison is a must.

    on August 25, 2017

I don’t think anyone is ever really ready for the car shopping experience. Good thing Cars.com helps things a lot easier. Good luck!

We’ve never used cars.com. We are lucky enough that my husband gets a company car and I have fallen in love with my old car so I haven’t traded it in yet. But will definitely need to check them out when we are ready!

I’ll keep this in mind when we need a new car. We probably will in a few years. I like that there’s a price comparison tool.

My husband and I used to trade in our vehicles every few years. We’ve never compared prices, but next time, I will definitely suggest using Cars.com

I’ve never bought a car before and definitely find the idea a bit intimidating. I love the idea of having all the details in one place and being able to compare prices. I really like to do my research before making a big purchase so Cars.com is definitely a website I can see myself using.

on August 25, 2017

This sounds brilliant, it can be daunting buying a new car so having all the right information can really help, not to mention put you in a good place when it comes to negotiating!

on August 25, 2017

That Audi was cute. I’m trying to hold on to my car but I know it’s nearing the end. Thanks for the great advice. I didn’t know it did all of those things.

Looks like a great investment. Nice car and thank you for sharing

Perfect! Before buying a car there are so many factors, features to be checked, compared. Cars.com is a good option to go with.

Very informative and detailed resource! Great to know they’re a one stop shop for everything you need with your prospect vehicle.

on August 26, 2017

Another platform where you can buy online cars, wow! Indeed there is so much of our technology. We can always shop at our own convenience for some items and now, I couldn’t believe we can already check out for car items. I am excited to check and try.

I’ll keep cars.com in mind when we need a new car in 2 or 3 years. The price comparison tool is a must ! It’s also cool that you can search for earlier models to see if you could find some good prices with low mileage 😉

What a great tip. I’ve bought many cars, and a lot of new ones, over my life. Most transactions have usually turned out good for me. Loving my VW from a couple years ago.

on August 27, 2017

I haven’t been on the Cars.Com site in a while. Can you get CARFAX too???

on August 27, 2017

I probably won’t be buying a car anytime soon but this is useful information! Thanks

on August 27, 2017

I am thinking about getting rid of my car and getting a different one. This might work for me!

on August 28, 2017

I am in the market for a new car! I need to check out this site to see my options!

    on August 28, 2017

This site will be perfect for you. Can’t wait to see your new car.

on August 28, 2017

I am trying to hold off buying a car right now, but that doesn’t mean I can’t look! Thanks for this resource!

    on August 28, 2017

You are welcome. It may come in handy when you are ready.

on August 28, 2017

I didn’t know about a car comparison site
This is great to know
Thanks for sharing

    on August 28, 2017

You are welcome. Keep it in mind. It just may come in handy one day.

This is the second car that I have owned. The first car was brought from an auction for 2500 and it lasted me for 6 years. The second car I brought from the Nissan Dealership and was unhappy since I purchased. Not with the vehicle itself but with the fact I have to pay a car note (I could be doing so much with that money) Thank God I only have one more year left on the car to pay it off. I don’t plan on buying another car for years once this is paid off.

    on August 29, 2017

I hear you. I wouldn’t pay another car note either.

on August 28, 2017

Considering that purchasing a new car has been on my mind for months, this review is right on time. I’m with you — car purchasing and all that comes with it can be a headache, especially for women. But knowing that I can further my research on cars.com is AWESOME! Thanks, Ty.

on August 28, 2017

I have a 2014 Altima! I’ll probably keep it until the wheels fall off, but my husband has a 2008 Altima that is falling apart on the outside. So we are considering paying it off and just saving for a couple years and then purchase something when that car dies. We always use Cars to search the area when we do our car shopping.

on August 28, 2017

I’ve never used cars.com but it seems like no-nonsense easy approach to purchasing a car….And I’m with you on wanting that Audi! The dashboard alone makes me want to purchase it!!

    on August 29, 2017

It is a great tool to use and that Audi…I’m in love

on August 29, 2017

I have o say that I’ve never considered using cars.com to find a new car until this post. We will be in the market for a new car next year and will keep this in mind. Thanks

Let's Talk! I want to know what you think?
