The 3 Best Apps To Use While Traveling With Kids

Parenting / March 14, 2017

Traveling with kids can be fun yet challenging. For this upcoming Spring Break, we have compiled a list of apps and accessories that are helpful for parents and entertaining for kids.

Whether flying long distance or driving to grandma’s house, be sure to download and pack the items below:

Roadtrip Bingo

iOS + Android (free)

Roadtrip Bingo allows kids to check off things they spot while on a trip. Similar to the old licence plate spotting game, this app also includes options for airplane travel as well.

FamilyTime Dashboard

iOS + Android (free)

Kids have a tendency to wander off. Better to be safe than sorry. Downloading FamilyTime Dashboard is a must. Prior to traveling, install the app on your mobile device and their phones or tablets. The app safely monitors your child’s location, as well as any Internet or smartphone activity.

Here WeGo

iOS + Android (free)

Toddlers can be the most impatient road trip buddies ever. Avoid hearing the common phrase “are we there yet” by downloading Here WeGo. Rather than wasting all your data getting directions to your travel destination, this app provides detailed turn-by-turn directions for over 100 different countries that you can download and access offline, making it a great app to help avoid data fees. Here WeGo also offers directions for various forms of transportation, including car, bike or public transportation and updates prices, traffic conditions, where to park, for any drive.

Every mom knows that when traveling with kids you have to have something to clean dirty hands with.  The TravelOn Hand Soap Sheet are perfect. These pocket-sized biodegradable sheets are a easier to carry than a bar of soap and the paper-thin soap sheets dissolve almost instantly in water, giving you a handful of cleansing suds anywhere. At only $10, these soap sheets are TSA compliant and the palm-size container holds 50 sheets.

I think I might be getting Roadtrip Bingo for myself lol. We tend to travel during nap or bedtime to help with the kids during traveling but I’ll definitely be looking into these as they get older.

Traveling during bedtime and nap time is actually a good idea. Roadtrip Bingo is actually pretty fun.

The Travelog sheets look like they will be good for adults too. Love the compact size. Love the fact that you keep them occupied on trips with Bingo!

Yes, they are both good. It’s always a good idea to find ways to keep kids busy during road trips.

I used to love to play games like Roadtrip Bingo with my siblings when we traveled. Now with technology, I am sure everyone just plays on their phones or watches movies.

Nice. We’ve never tried Road Trip bingo. I bet that’s fun.

Road trips can be fun yet boring at the same time. I could use those hand soap sheets and about everything else for myself!

Great post! I have a few friends that have children and it is hard to keep them entertained as we travel. These are some things we can definitely use we can talk while they play *wink*

Great post, Ty! I love practical pieces like this one. I’d never heard of these hand soap sheets. I’m definitely getting some of those, and I downloaded the Road Trip Bingo app. 🙂
