Review of Valentia’s Even Glow Vitamin C Serum

Beauty / Reviews / December 15, 2014

This is a sponsored post written by me for Valentia.  All opinions are my own.

As a gracefully aging 41-year old, (YES 41! Never would have guessed, huh?), I am always on the hunt for skin care products that will continue to help me look like I’m 21.  When I was offered the opportunity to try Valentia’s Even Glow Vitamin C Serum, I jumped at the chance to try it, AFTER, I took a look at their page to find out a little more information on it.  When I read that it contained Vitamin C, which if you didn’t know, Dr. Oz recommends it to help reverse AND combat the effects of aging, I was all in!  I mean really, no matter what age you are, you definitely want to minimize wrinkles, and Valentia’s Even Glow Vitamin C Serum helps to do that.  Valentina’s Even Glow Vitamin C Serum acts as both an anti wrinkle, antioxidant which helps to reduce pores, locks in moisture and repair damaged skin.

I received the product for free but ordered it through Amazon.  The first thing that I noticed when I received it was the packaging.  I don’t know about you but packaging is pretty important to me.  I think that often times, it is what helps to sell me the product.  As you can see, the 1.18oz glass bottle came in a sophisticated looking white and gold box.  The glass bottle has the same colors carried on from the box.

Now this was my first time ever trying a Vitamin C Serum and when I opened the bottle which comes with a dropper, by the way, I noticed that it smells just like oranges and even has an orange color.  The consistency is smooth and not very heavy, which is great.  No one wants to put on a heavy product and then a heavy moisturizer. Right?

By looking at the bottle, one would think that it would not go very far, but because it has a dropper, you get just what you need, so you don’t have to worry about using too much or too little.  I used it every morning after washing my face and before applying moisturizer and repeated again in the evening.  It wasn’t recommended but I did exfoliate my face with a scrub before I used it the first time and I do so once a week.  I figured it wouldn’t hurt, right?

Now as an African-American, I have always had a problem with discoloration and acne scars.  What I noticed after using the Vitamin C Serum for a few days is that my skin looked brighter and I noticed that my pores have gotten smaller…Thank the Lord!   There has also been a slight improvement in the laugh lines around my mouth and my skin feels so much smoother.  It is still too early to see a drastic improvement but from what I seen so far, I will continue to use it.

Here are few more details about Valentia’s Even Glow Vitamin C Serum:

Vitamin C – With a 20% concentration, it provides many benefits to keep the skin tight, smooth and looking ageless. Vitamin C has been scientifically proven to reduces the effects of sun exposure on the skin, including sunburn, sun spots, redness and wrinkles.

In addition to helping reduce the signs of aging, Vitamin C is essential for everyday maintenance to strengthen and smooth out the skin, as well as neutralizing free radicals before they can damage the skin, including sunburn, sun spots, redness and wrinkles.

ORGANIC ROSEHIP SEED OIL & ORGANIC SEA BUCKTHORN OIL – These oils promote skin hydration and lock in moisture to protect your skin from signs of aging and improve its beauty and youthfulness. Rosehip Oil specifically has been used in medical communities around the world for those with serious skin ailments and only recently has North America learned to embrace natural solutions from our ancestors. These two organic oils are full of antioxidants and therefore act as the perfect supporting cast for our best friend – Vitamin C

RESISTEM (Plant Stem Cells) – This provides the perfect mix of protection from stress-related aging and promotes skin detoxification. Resistem will help your skin regenerate faster while protecting it from environmental stressors.

HYALURONIC ACID(Botanical) – Holding up to 1000 times its weight in water and drawing moisture out of the environment and onto the surface of your skin ,there is not a more effective moisturizing agent on the market today. Penetrates deeply, and actives collagen production for a fresher, younger, firmer, and brighter complexion

GREEN TEA EXTRACT– The catechins in green tea are a potent antioxidant which also contribute to the overall anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant benefits of this ancient health and beauty secret.

Overall, I have seen improvement in my skin from using Valentina’s Even Tone Vitamin C Serum and I would definitely recommend it.  You can purchase your bottle for $35 at Amazon. Don’t forget to let me know what you thought of it.
