My Visit To ‘The Queen Latifah Show’ And My New Cell Phone From Cricket Wireless

Entertainment & Celebrities / From the Editor / May 21, 2014

I have always been a fan of Queen Latifah.  Not so much as a rapper but more so as an actress and a business woman.  When given the opportunity to attend a taping of her show, “The Queen Latifah Show,” I jumped at the opportunity.

Of course, whenever you go to a taping of a television show, especially a talk show, the first thing you think is, “I hope that their giving something away!”  Well, they did not disappoint.  We all received….I’ll get to that later.

Queen Latifah looks totally different in person than she does on tv or should I say in other movies.  She is much smaller than I thought she was…hey, that’s a good thing!! Any who, I wasn’t too impressed with the guest, Emma Roberts from “American Horror Story, ” Harry Hamlin from “Mad Men” and the musical guest was The Bangles.

So getting to the part that you REALLY want to know about, “What did I get?”  I received….a new cell phone!! Not just a cell phone but a cell phone from Cricket Wireless.  If you haven’t heard about Cricket Wireless, let me give you the 411 on them.  First off, they offer no annual contracts, nationwide service and very affordable plans.  They also offer the latest phones which is a big deal because who doesn’t want the latest phone without having to wait FOREVER to get a new one?  Let’s say you do have a phone that you love and you don’t want to pay for a new one, you won’t have to!  If your phone is unlocked, you can bring it with you to Cricket!  Now how cool is that?  But wait, there’s one more thing, there plans are only $40, $50, and $60!  That’s it!  And when I say, that’s it, that’s it because taxes and fees are included in those prices!  For those of you with kids, who by the way, Cricket Wireless would be perfect for, as well, you can pay only $25 for talk and text.

According to Cricket Wireless:

Cricket Wireless gives you what you want, pure and simple. Our cheap, no annual contract cell phone plans feature unlimited talk, text, and data, fast 4G LTE speeds, and a reliable nationwide network. And since all prices include taxes and fees, you know exactly what you’ll pay each month.

With three prepaid cell phone plans to choose from and great add-on features, Cricket Wireless makes it easy for you to get a great device at a price that fits your life. To get started, select your preferred cell phone plan then choose your phone. If you prefer, you can also bring your own unlocked phone to the Cricket network.  Its this type of flexibility that sets us apart from others.

All that being said, I certainly felt like a fool after acquring all this information about Cricket Wireless for paying $140 a month for cell phone service for a single line.  Needless to say, when I receive my free phone, I will be switching to Cricket Wireless and buying new shoes with the money that I save every month!!
