So What You Saying?
Just Because You Become A Mother Doesn’t Mean You Lose Who You Are
Beyonce hits the nail on the head in this quote and not only do you NOT have to lose yourself when you become a mother, you can be sexy as hell, while running a business, breast-feeding a baby and making it happen, all in stilettos.
In this segment from her “Self Titled” Liberation documentary, Beyonce talks finding her sensuality, showing her body and not losing who you are when you become a mother. In this video, Beyonce gives insight into who she is. “It details her mind-set and artistic vision during the making of the entire project.”
This is what she had to say about being liberated…
I was 195 pounds when I gave birth. I lost 65 pounds. I worked crazily to get my body back. I wanted to show my body! I wanted to show that you can have a child and you can work hard and get your body back.
I know finding my sensuality… getting back into my body…being proud of growing up. It was important to me that I expressed that in this music because I know that there are so many women that feel the same thing after the give birth. You can have your child and still have fun and still be sexy and still have dreams and still live for yourself.
I don’t at all have any shame about being sexual and I’m not embarrassed about it and I don’t feel like I have to protect that side of me because I do believe that sexuality is a power that we all have.
I wholeheartedly agree with everything that Beyonce has to say in this video. Being a mother doesn’t mean that you are no longer sexy, that you can’t have fun or that you abandon all of your dreams because of your child. Ladies, let me know if you agree and what you think about what Beyonce has to say?
