FREE Math, Language Arts & Science Sites To Keep Your Child Ahead of the Class

Parenting / Single Moms Talk / July 12, 2012

School is out and summer vacation had begun but that doesn’t mean that learning has stopped.  TJ will be entering 4th grade in a few weeks and we have already begun to work on 4th grade curriculum.  Why not get a head start, right?  Since my son is obsessed with the computer, I have found several websites for kids that he enjoys and that I approve of.
The following is a list of free websites for kids:

Language Arts Websites
(strategies for reading success)
(How to select books and reading activities)
(Language Arts Games K-5th grade)

(A great side from K-5th grades for mastering math facts)
(Fun Math Practice)
Multiplication Practice
(Math games, logic puzzles, word problems & math videosScience Websites
(Science games for Kids)
(Cool Science experiments and projects)
(Chemistry info for Kids)
Check out the websites for kids and let me know what you think of them or if you have some sites that you would like to recommend.

Learning shouldn't stop in the summer, and I love that you are keeping him engaged. My daughter loves the computer too, and this is a great idea. We've started a summer journal, every day from camp she is writing and drawing a picture of a special moment from her day, we are also practicing her reading everyday!

You are awesome for these links. My buddy just asked me the other day if I knew of any sites to keep his kids sharp over the summer. Now I can help him with that.
