Single ladies, have you ever been accused of being a lesbian because you are a single woman? Do people assume that because they have never seen you with a man who you MUST be gay?
The practice of assuming that because some women are single by choice or simply in between relationships that they are lesbians is absurd to me and just down right disrespectful.
Friend and contributor to the blog, Jay previously from U4Discussion has branched off our Listen Up Ladies series to start his own podcast series called, Listen Up Ladies, on his new site, “Right To R.E.A.L Love.” He asked me to join him for his premiere episode of Listen Up Ladies to discuss a letter he received from a woman stating that people assume that she is a lesbian because she is single. Listen to our discussion titled, “I’m Single…Not A Lesbian” and leave comments and answer a few questions for us…
Have you ever had someone think that you were gay because you were single?
How would you handle that type of situation?
Do you think that society judge single people?
What advice would you give someone in this situation?
