Last Saturday, February 8th, I had the opportunity to be apart of #SingleInAmerica which was hosted by Match.com. The discussion was moderated by none other than The Millionaire Matchmaker, Patti Stringer whose “tell it like it is” personality, I love.
Match.com polled 5,000 single men and women who did not come from Match.com but represent a national representative sample who answered 200 questions. The Singles in America study is the largest and most comprehensive study ever conducted on singles. The findings were pretty interesting. Here are my take aways:
“On the first date 51% of singles imagine a future.”
“After the first date 35% of women and 46% of men follow-up after the first date.
“51% of singles prefer a phone conversation but texting is right behind.”
“62% of singles desire more sex in 2014.” HA!!
“Only 15% of men and 12% of women want to have sex every day!”
“Men do not like when women send them texts while they are at work. 63% of women like when men send them a text during the work day.”
“50 of men and 12% of women want to have sex every day. 39% of both men and women want to have sex 2-3 times a week.”
“The best time for single’s to have sex, 65%of men 69% of women like to have sex at 10pm.”
“Singles in the 30’s have more sex than any other age group.”
I have to say that I have to agree with a lot of the survey’s answers. However, I am surprised that more men didn’t want to have sex every day and that there is an hour that singles prefer to have sex.
