Allen Iverson’s ex-wife, Tawanna Turner wants ALL of the child support for their 5 children NOW! Turner has asked the court to make Iverson pay her upfront for the next 13 years since he has a history of not paying his child support. In July, he had to fork over $40,000 in order to avoid being sent to jail for non-payment.
According to their divorce decree, Iverson was ordered to pay $8,000 a month in child support and since the divorce was finalized in February, he had not paid a dime. When Turner asked the court to throw him in jail, the judge gave him 72 hours to pay up or go to jail. Iverson paid!
Since it took so long for her to get paid and after having to go back and forth to court for months, Turner is basically saying screw this, just pay me what you owe for the next 13 years and I don’t have to worry about this anymore. I guess I would have to agree because ain’t nobody got time to for that! Who wants to have to go to court every other month to get you to do what you’re supposed to do?
According to TMZ, Turner filed documents on August 1, asking the court to make Iverson pay all of the child support through 2026 when their youngest child turns 18. Their oldest child, Tiaura is 16, Allen II, 12, Isiah, 8, Messiah, 6 and Dream Alijha, 3. Turner plans to put the money into a trust for the children.
Let’s see if Iverson will be ordered to pay the 1.2 million.
Do you think that she should be awarded everything upfront?
